FOUR FACES is a community arts workshop conducted in 2015 that inspires two groups of participants – the youth and the elderly – to interpret the four seasons in life.
The common goal for each pair of participants is to work together to produce an intimate art installation depicting the worldview of each elderly participant. Using the humble cardboard as a canvas, this installation seeks to be a personal yet informal memoir of the ordinary man. Each senior participant is partnered with a young artist and volunteer. They work together to identify their stories and planning the concept of their works together before moving on to actual art jamming.
We hope that by working on a common goal, the exchange of energy and interaction between the young and elderly participants will help renew what they value in life.
